We were delighted to be asked to provide a vessel for the first-ever Work Boat Open Day, held by Poole Harbour Commission at its work boat pontoon on Poole Quay. Visitors had the chance to tour working vessels, meet crews, and learn more about the essential roles they play in and around Poole Harbour.

We were asked to assist an emergency salvage operation this week, when a powerboat got into difficulty near Sandbanks. The Vintage powerboat Apache 555, built in 1969, was competing in the “Poole Bay 100” when a suspected debris strike caused a large hole in the boat’s hull and it started taking on water fast.

Our dredging team have been working for Newhaven Marina to complete a significant capital dredge of the marina, helping to unlock its future potential. This has been coordinated with work from other contractors involved in reconfiguring the pontoon and pile layout within the marina.
