Jenkins Marine - Gets Jet Power!

Jenkins Marine are delighted to announce the addition of JML Jet to its fleet. Built in 2007 in Ireland she is a well equipped shallow draft multi-purpose vessel powered by a Hamilton Jet HJ322 propulsion unit. Company directors Rod and Dan Jenkins brought the vessel back by sea from its previous home in Arklow on the East coast of Ireland. The journey of 360 Nautical Miles went without incident and was achieved with an impressive average speed of 18 Knots.


And their journey was no doubt eased by the onboard facilities which include a separate toilet with waste tank, fresh water supply and a small kitchenette complete with microwave and kettle.

Arriving in Poole on July 30th 2010 with the new addition, Dan Jenkins commented that JML Jet was a valuable addition to the Jenkins Marine fleet, adding;

"Being a Jet class vessel her draft is only 700mm and there is no external propeller making her ideal for dive support and similar operations".
