Jenkins Marine - Striving for Olympic Gold!

No strangers to the waters around Poole themselves, Jenkins Marine are backing local girl Lucy Macgregor and her team in their quest for Olympic Sailing Gold in 2012. The sponsorship, which will last throughout the team's rigorous training and up until the games themselves, will provide vital funds in the girls' quest for Olympic glory. Already Britain's top woman's match racing team they are also currently listed 1st in the ISAF world rankings.

With such an impressive pedigree on the doorstep it was an easy decision to make for Jenkins Marine who feel a strong affinity with the girl's ambitions to be the best on the water. The team, which comprises Lucy Macgregor, Annie Lush and Ally Martin, will use the funds to ensure "no stone is left unturned" in the build up to the games in 2012.

"We will never have the opportunity to have the Olympic Games on home waters again in our lifetimes. We are not going to let the occasion pass us." Said Lucy, age 23 from Poole.

"We've had a fantastic start to our campaign, with some great support from the likes of Jenkins Marine..."


The GBR Match Race Girls are currently fine-tuning their winter training in the knowledgeable hands of Britain's former match racing world champion Ian Williams ahead of the European World Cup events, which kick off with the Princess Sofia Trophy in Palma (ESP) just before Easter.
