Additions to the fleet - New for 2009!

Kitcat multi-cat KitCat (20m x 6m) is a twin screw multi-cat type vessel, equipped with spud legs, deck crane, winches and all the usual safety features found on an MCA Category 3 workboat. KitCat's main advantage comes from its modular construction. This means that she can be taken apart and delivered to your site by road, making work further a field more economical in view of the reduced mobilisation costs, when compared to steaming the vessel long distances around the coast by sea. This also means that she is able to work on inland waters, not accessible by sea. KitCat was purchased in January 2009, from previous owners Carillion Marine Civil Engineering. She was formerly known as 'Mowbility', coming from Carillion's previously acquired company Mowlem. For more information, please view the specification file here.

beaver4 work boat Jenkins Marine currently operates a mini-fleet of three beaver workboats, each about 8m x 3m with 130-150hp. We are now in the process of completing a refurbishment of a larger, more powerful beaver workboat; 'Beaver 4' is just over 10m long and has been fitted with a new 230hp Doosan Diesel engine which produces significantly more pulling power! She also benefits from a 5.4KVa diesel generator providing both 240v and 110v supply for use onboard, and within the enclosed wheelhouse. Deck Space is also increased, permitting larger cargos to be carried. This new workboat now provides something in-between the type 1 beaver and the larger coastal tugs which Jenkins Marine operates (Polmear, Ursa and Glenesk), and is a welcome addition to our growing fleet of capable workboats.
